This was painted in 2007, the year before Beryl died. It was originally part of another painting titled 'In a Pub' but Beryl felt that it didn't 'work' and therefore cut the image in half creating two separate paintings, she absolutely adored everything about people's shoes, a subject that she explored hugely throughout her works, she simply titled this painting 'Shoes'.
The painting measures 9 inches x 13 inches and is being sold framed. The painting is signed by Beryl in black in the bottom right corner and is also titled by Beryl's husband John on the reverse side.
