The First Ever OFFICIAL Beryl Cook Open Edition Prints
We are pleased to announce the launch of the first of a series of open edition prints of the artworks created by Beryl Cook.
These editions are printed on 300gsm Giclee fine art smooth rag paper by a reputable Plymouth printers whom we work closely with in order to ensure the highest standard of reproduction.
Each of these prints is supplied with a certificate of authenticity signed by John (Beryl’s son & copyright holder).
These prints are only available through our website or from the Beryl Cook exhibition being held at the Council House, Plymouth. This exhibition runs from June 24th 2017 until September 9th 2017.
We would like to emphasise that these are the first, and only genuine open edition Beryl Cook prints to be published.
Unfortunately we have to warn Beryl's fans that whilst there are several reputable galleries selling authorised limited edition prints, there are also some unscrupulous individuals and websites offering for sale so called ‘open edition prints’, both in galleries and online. One of these websites even tries to present itself as being connected to our family!
We know that these so called ‘open edition prints’ are in fact mainly images cut out from old calendars or simply old cards that have been mounted, and in the worst cases are outright infringements of our copyright.
It is for this reason that we wanted to publish a set of official open edition prints ourselves, not only to guarantee the quality but also to give Beryl fans the chance to own a genuine certified Beryl Cook print at a more affordable price.
We will be launching the first series of prints this Friday 23rd June 2017. Percy at the Fridge (16” x 20”) Picnic at Mt Edgcumbe (16” x 20”) Tasting the Dew Nouveau (20” x 16”) and Bosom Pals (20” x 16”) will all be available for just £35 each.
